Floor Plan Profile: The Cascade

The Cascade floor plan is an impressive home design that has just undergone some updates to make it even more appealing and adaptable, thanks to the inclusion of a new bonus room. This sprawling two-story home – full of great standard features, as well as the variety of options we always offer – is an example of the thought we put into all of our homes, making us a highly respected home builder in Southwest WA.

At heart, the Cascade is a 3-5 bedroom home with 3-5 bathrooms, a three-car garage, and a spacious 3,379 square feet. Along with all of the interior space and options, there are seven exterior options, ranging in style from traditional to modern, to help you choose the one that really appeals to you and your sense of style.

The bulk of the home is located on the first floor, with the second floor taking up only part of the space, but providing a gigantic bonus room. You can keep the whole space as a bonus room, which is large enough to host a variety of hobbies and uses and has an optional closet. There’s also an option for a powder room, or you can turn it into a bedroom with a full bathroom.

The home welcomes you with a spacious covered front porch that leads into an entry large enough to decorate and serve a true function, and which also includes a coat closet. The entry and the hallway that continues from it features a coffered ceiling for added architectural interest. Right off the entry is a den, which makes an ideal home office, or could be turned into an additional bedroom with full bathroom and walk-in-closet. Next to the den is an open dining room with an optional tray ceiling. Another alternative for the dining room is to turn the space into a powder room, with a larger coat closet next to it and around the corner, an additional storage area.

At the end of the hallway is a recessed area that leads to a full bathroom, flanked on each side by two bedrooms. The recessed access provides extra privacy to the bedrooms, which many people appreciate. The end of the hallway also leads you to a cross walkway that covers much of the width of the home. It helps provide separation from, but also easy access to, other parts of the home. You’re led directly into the great room with its own coffered ceiling and optional fireplace and built-in cabinets.

Next to the great room is the spacious kitchen and a nook extension that works great for more casual dining or can be used as the primary dining area if you choose not to keep the separate dining room. This flexible space provides you with a wealth of options. The kitchen includes an island, which helps separate it from the great room, a large walk-in pantry, and an optional desk.

The cross walkway ultimately leads to the stairs to the second floor, but also passes a linen closet, the laundry room, which does double duty as a mud room with an optional drop zone and access to the garage, and a powder room.  On the other side of the walkway, you’ll find the entrance to the owner’s suite. This is a spectacular suite, with an optional tray ceiling in both the bedroom and the spa-like bathroom. The bedroom also has its own private access to a patio. The bathroom features a separate soaking tub, shower, double-sink vanity, linen closet, and access to the impressive walk-in closet. There’s also an option for a skylight for an even greater spa-like atmosphere. Additional options include a large mud-set shower or glass mud-set shower.
