Site Development and Utilities

Our experienced site development team ensures that your lot will be properly prepared before any building begins. Once approved, we’ll clear the building site, including demolishing existing structures if needed, and arrange for the removal of debris. All site work, including grading, excavation and road work is overseen by our own team and done by our trusted trade partners. We also coordinate the connection of utilities including water, electricity and sewage. If your home requires a well or septic system, we will manage their installation. We also coordinate the design and installation of fire sprinklers, if necessary. We’ll let you know upfront how much your new home project will cost, from site work to design and construction. There are no hidden fees to surprise you during the process. Our simple pricing model makes it easy to know whether your new home will fit your budget.

Dedicated Development Team

At Garrette Custom Homes, we have an entire team dedicated to developing home sites. You can rest assured that everything necessary for the development of your property will be taken care of to the highest standards. Our Site Development Manager will oversee the process to make sure all goes smoothly. You won’t have to hassle with subcontractors or red tape. Our in-house Permitting Department will obtain the necessary building permits for your project.

Regulatory and Habitat Reviews

Sometimes a building project requires the involvement of additional regulatory agencies. If there is a habitat or other regulatory issue with your property, we will arrange the necessary reviews when required. We’ll do the same for any required surveying and geo-technical work. Since we develop properties throughout Southwest Washington, Portland, Oregon, and the Puget Sound area, we are familiar with successfully working through a variety of different building scenarios.
