The New Home Council held its annual Tribute Awards in October this year at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, WA. The event, which has both local and national recognition, is the only New Home Award event in the Puget Sound region. It recognizes and honors those who have shown innovation, hard work, and years of service. In other words, the best of the best. Garrette Custom Homes, a home builder in Portland OR, was among the finalists and winners at this year’s ceremony.

The New Home Council is an independent team of industry professionals working together to meet the changing needs of the new home building industry through education, promotion and recognition. They serve as a voice for members involved in all aspects of the housing industry and offer access to important and accurate economic information from a team of industry experts. They are now the largest sales and marketing council in the United States.

Recognizing people, places, and spaces, the Tribute Awards highlight successful individuals and companies in the new home building industry through a variety of categories. Garrette Custom Homes was a finalist in a number of categories, such as Best Special Event, Best Interior Merchandising of a Model Home 2,500-3,500 square feet, and Best Product Design of a Single Family Home under 2,500 square feet. At the end of the night, they proudly walked away with wins in a couple of categories. The company’s Melanie Boyajian won for Mortgage Leader and Garrette Custom Homes also won Builder of the Year – Local.

The event — with cocktails, a keynote speech by digital marketing leader Meredith Oliver, dinner, and the awards ceremony — all served as a great opportunity to come together, learn more about the power of marketing, sales, and other important aspects of the new home building industry, as well as celebrate all that each company has achieved over the past year.
