Floor Plan Profile: Rainier

The Rainier floor plan seems to capture the essence of the PNW. It is one of the ideal homes in Southwest WA for a lot of people, thanks to its open, airy atmosphere, that still features plenty of cozy areas to snuggle into when needed. The Rainier floor plan starts with multiple exteriors from traditional to modern and includes four to five bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a three-car garage, and 3,213 square feet of space, including a family room with soaring ceilings.

The covered front porch leads you into the spacious entry hallway. The hallway leads you past the living room, which can also be used as a den, or an ideal home office. The next room off the entry hallway is the dining room. If you do choose to use the first room as a more formal living room, you can have it connect directly to the dining room. The dining room has a doorway leading to the butler’s pantry, which features an optional counter and includes a walk-in pantry. From the butler’s pantry, you walk directly into the spacious kitchen. This layout is ideal for those who love to entertain, as there’s still the family room for more casual and comfortable daily use. There’s also a nook in the kitchen large enough to be used for more casual dining. The nook, which also features sliding glass doors to the back yard, can be extended to create a larger space.

The main family room is the center of the home, with an optional fireplace, large windows, and a sense of openness due to the ceiling soaring up to the top of the second floor. With the tall ceilings and plentiful windows, the Rainier lets you enjoy the views of the outdoors and creates a strong feeling of space and airiness.

On the opposite side of the great room from the kitchen is the owner’s suite with an optional tray ceiling, a spa-like bathroom, large walk-in closet, and an entrance that is slightly set back from the rest of the hallway where you’ll find a powder room, as well as a mud room, which connects to the garage.

Upstairs, you’ll find three additional bedrooms and the large laundry room, which is a great convenience with the majority of bedrooms upstairs. This eliminates numerous trips up and down stairs when laden down with laundry. There’s also a full bathroom, and there’s a half-wall that looks out over the family room below, giving the upstairs level its own sense of airiness.
