Floor Plan Profile: Barclay

The Barclay is one of the beautiful homes in Lakewood, WA that we offer. Like all of our homes, it comes with a variety of standard features that appeal to a lot of buyers. It also comes with a variety of extra options to truly make it your ideal home. Flexibility is built into every one of our home designs.

You start with three exterior options, all with a spacious front porch and an attractive layout that has a detached two-car garage, which lets the focus remain on your actual home. The home itself has two to four bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, two stories, and 2,342 square feet. It also features the increasingly in-demand primary-on-the-main bedroom that offers convenience and privacy, set away from the main living area of the ground floor, creating your own personal retreat, complete with a spacious bathroom and walk-in closet.

Our homes always feature a welcoming entry that also offers privacy to the main living area. Just off the entry is a den which can be turned into an additional bedroom, complete with its own private bathroom and walk-in closet. As it is, it works perfectly as a home office. With the den layout, there is a short hallway past the den, off the entry, which has a linen closet and a powder room, perfect for guests and family members. On the other side of this cross hallway is the entrance to the owner’s suite.

Just past the cross hallway are the stairs to the second story, as well as built-in storage under the stairs. Then you enter into the main living area. The open-plan design includes a spacious great room, a well-appointed kitchen with an island and walk-in pantry, and a nook off the kitchen that is ideal for dining. Off the nook is access to the spacious laundry room, which includes a door to the backyard. This allows it to double as a mud-room, preventing dirt from being tracked directly into your living area.

The second floor doesn’t cover the entire first floor. However, it does have room for two spacious bedrooms separated by a full bathroom, and a deep storage closet that leads to the mechanical room with the furnace. There’s also the option of turning one of the bedrooms into a bonus room, which can be used in any way that fits your lifestyle.

The Barclay, like all of our homes, includes options such as a tray ceiling and doors in the den, a built-in gas fireplace in the great room, a sink in the laundry room, and sliding glass doors off the kitchen nook leading out to the backyard, along with additional windows throughout the home, ensuring you can live in a home full of wonderful natural light throughout the year.
