The reality is that building on your own land has more paperwork and processes than people often realize before starting. You can’t just buy a piece of land and start building. There are permits and site development processes that are often challenging and frustrating. However, when you choose to work with us, we handle this stuff for you to make the process as easy as possible.
If you already have a piece of land, we’ll make sure it’s appropriate for building and meets all of the state and local requirements. We take care of clearing the building site, demolishing any existing structures that may need to go, and removing debris. On top of that, all site work, including grading, excavation, and road work is overseen by our own team and done by our trusted trade partners. When building on your own land, you may need to connect utilities. We coordinate the connection of utilities including water, electricity and sewage. If your home requires a well or septic system, we will manage their installation, as well. This kind of management is what sets us apart from many other builders, because we take care of the difficult work for you.
With the appropriate site chosen, you’ll get to work with our New Home Sales Consultant to choose among more than 30 outstanding home designs that include a wealth of structural and design options, allowing you to create your ideal home. We talk with you about your lifestyle and what you need in a home and help you find the perfect floor plan and any options. Once you have the basic home sorted, you then get to visit our 5,000-square-foot Design Studio. Here, you have the opportunity to work with our professional design team to pick out your flooring, countertops, hardware and other finishing touches.
Once you’ve worked with our home design team to choose the ideal house, we provide you with an estimated cost of your plan, site development, and any selections you’ve chosen. We’re there to walk you through every step of this special experience. We tell you upfront how much your new home project will cost, from site work to design and construction. There are no hidden fees, so you can feel secure that your new home will fit your stated budget.
